MHA Labs Support Resources
MHA Labs has an entire catalog of free resources, tools, and guides to help you easily DIY your own 21st century skills strategy. These tools include facilitator and teen facing materials. There are Spanish Versions of key teen facing worksheets. All of the teen tools are written in a 6th grade reading level or less to allow for literacy accessibility.
MHA Labs does not provide a curriculum to teach 21st century skills due to its focus on reframing existing programming into high impact skill building experiences. Teens need to experience skills development across different contexts with different facilitators to truly build transferable, durable skills. Secondly, due to our collective impact approach, we could not have teens taking the same sessions in school, afterschool, and internships.
MHA Labs does offer a curriculum called The Youth and Employer Empowerment Curriculum that was developed for Chicago’s 25,000+ teen summer job program called One Summer Chicago. It’s a super easy to use scripted set of activities that can be done in an intense one day session or weekly during a 6-8 week summer job program. It is designed to make a summer job more empowering and impactful. If you are seeking a more specific Internship Skill Building Curriculum, please contact YouthForce NOLA’s Solutions Lab listed below.
